Keep your fingers crossed and your recipe books open for a cookbook to be published next year.   Due to lack of recipes, we weren't able to publish the book this 2007-2008 board year.

Do you have a special recipe that you would like to share?  Or maybe you have a specialty dish and you have been asked for the recipe so many times that you have it memorized?  Well, now is the chance to make it famous!

We are excited to announce that FLSC will be preparing a taste-tempting collection of tried and true recipes for the 2008-2009 FLSC Cookbook.

The cookbook will be available for purchase through our Ways and Means Committee, and we are aiming for a November release.  Do not miss out on this collection of favorite recipes submitted by your friends and neighbors - what a fabulous keepsake of your time here at Fort Leavenworth!

Proceeds from the sales of our cookbook will go into our treasury to further worthwhile projects sponsored by our organization.

RECIPE SUBMISSIONS

We would like you to submit three or four of your favorite recipes so that you will be represented in our memorable collection.  All recipes should fit into one of the following categories:

        Appetizers and Beverages
        Soups, Salads, and Vegetables
        Main Dishes and Casseroles
        Breads and Rolls
        Pies, Pastry and Desserts
        Cakes, Cookies, and Candy
        Cooking for a Crowd, Recipes for a Large Gathering

• Enter only one recipe at a time, be sure to include the name of the recipe itself, category and your name as you want it listed with your recipe.
• Send as an email attachment, MS Word preferably, using font of 12pt Arial to recipes@flsc.biz.
• Spell out names and ingredients in the directions.
• Ingredients should be listed in two columns followed by the directions in paragraphs or point form below.
